जेएनयू में जनम टीवी के पत्रकारों पर हमले की निंदा

एनयूजेआई और डीजेए ने हमलवारों की गिरफ्तारी की मांग

कार्रवाई न होने पर आंदोलन होगा- रास बिहारी, अध्यक्ष-एनयूजेआई  

नई दिल्ली। नेशनल यूनियन ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (इंडिया) और दिल्ली जर्नलिस्ट्स एसोसिएशन ने दिल्ली के जवाहर लाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय में बीबीसी की विवादित डाक्यूमेंट्री दिखाए जाने के दौरान जनम टीवी के दिल्ली ब्यूरो प्रमुख गौतम और कैमरामैन उन्नीकृष्णन पर हमले की निंदा करते हुए हमलावरों की गिरफ्तारी की मांग की है। इंटरनेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (आईएफजे) से संबद्ध एनयूजेआई के अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी, डीजेए के संयोजक राकेश थपलियाल,सहसंयोजक के पी मलिक, सचिव बुधौलिया और अमलेश राजू ने एक बयान में कहा है कि हमलावरों ने डाक्यूमेंट्री दिखाए जाने की कवरेज के दौरान कैमरामैन से कैमरा छीनने की कोशिश की। दोनों संगठनों का कहना है कि हैरानी की बात है कि एक तरफ देश में कुछ संगठन विदेशी साजिश के तहत अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता की आड़ में देश का अपमान करने वाली डाक्यूमेंट्री दिखा रहे हैं और दूसरी तरफ मीडियाकर्मियों पर हमला कर रहे हैं। इस तरह की मानसिकता से ही अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता को खतरा है।

एनयूजे अध्यक्ष रास बिहारी और डीजेए संयोजक राकेश थपलियाल, सहसंयोजक केपी मलिक, सचिन बुधौलिया और अमलेश राजू ने हमलावरों के फोटो और वीडियो जारी करते हुए तुरंत गिरफ्तारी की मांग की है। दोनों संगठनों की तरफ से जेएनयू प्रशासन से दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की गई है। संगठनो की तरफ से चेतावनी दी गई है कि हमलावरों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई न होने पर गणतंत्र दिवस के कार्यक्रमों के समापन के बाद आंदोलन à¤šà¤²à¤¾à¤¯à¤¾ à¤œà¤¾à¤à¤—ा।

NUJ-(I) condemns  attack on Janam TV journalists in JNU

NUJ-(I) and DJA demand arrest of attackers

We will do agitation, if no action is taken: Ras Bihari, President, NUJ-I

New Delhi, January 25: The National Union of Journalists (India) and the Delhi Journalists' Association have condemned the attack on Janam TV's Delhi Bureau Chief Gautam and cameraman Unnikrishnan during the screening of a controversial BBC documentary at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University and demanded the arrest of attackers.

Mr. Ras Bihari, president of NUJ-India, affiliated with the International Federation of Journalists, DJA convenor  Mr. Rakesh Thapliyal, and Coordinators Mr. K P Malik, Mr. Sachin Budholiya and Mr. Amlesh Raju said in a joint statement that the assailants tried to snatch the camera from the cameraman, while he was doing the coverage of the screening of documentary. Both the Unions have found it surprising that, on the one hand, some organisations in the country are showing documentaries insulting the country and attacking media personnel under the guise of freedom of expression, under a foreign conspiracy. Freedom of expression is in danger from this kind of mentality.

The NUJ-(I) president, Mr. Ras Bihari, and DJA convenor, Mr. Rakesh Thapliyal, along with co-ordinators, Mr. K P Malik, Mr. Sachin Budholiya and Mr. Amlesh Raju, have demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers when they were releasing the photos and videos.

NUJ-(I) and DJA have demanded action against the culprits from the JNU administration. The National Unions of Journalists -India has warned that, if no action is taken against the attackers, will do agitation  after the completion of the Republic Day programs.
