NUJ(India) condoles the demise of Smt Neelima, former executive member of Delhi Journalists Association
New Delhi April 23, 2020:- Smt Neelima, a journalist who stood by his moral values and principles and never sacrificed those for gain, his demise has caused vacuum not only in the journalists’ fraternity but all those who stood for ethical and upright media. Smt Neelima passed away on April 23, 2020 at New Delhi. She was 65. The wife of senior journalist Shri Pramod Kumarji, Smt Neelima was employed in Univarta for a long time.
In a statement NUJ(I) President Ras Bihari and Prasanna Mohanty Secretary General said that Smt Neelima ji was a brave woman who stood for the rights of women journalists and struggled alot. The NUJ(I) salutes Smt Neelimaji as a courageous journalist who upheld the ethics of journalism.
Shri Rakesh Thapliyal President and K P Malik General Secretary Delhi Journalists Association expressed their grief over the sad demise and said that NUJ(I) & DJA expresses its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family with prayer to God to give his entire family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

New Delhi, Nov 11.Government today issued the notification for implementation of Majithia Wage Boards‘ recommendations for increase in the salaries and allowances of journalists and non-journalists of newspapers and news agencies.
