NUJ(I) condemns the attack on Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami and his journalist wife Samia Goswami.

New Delhi, April 23, 2020:- In a statement National Union of Journalists (India) reacts that violence has no room in Democracy and Media should be respected and properly protected in a democratic system. If anybody is aggrieved of anything they should chose appropriate path to show their protest instead of violence, said Ras Bihari President, NUJ(I) and Prasanna Mohanty, Secretary General. Both of them further mentioned that when the whole country is fighting against Corona Epidemic our all focus should be concentrated on that point and it should not be diverted. On the other hand NUJ(I) observed  that  journalists and Media houses also  should  never  cross their limit at any cost and should strictly stick to the professional ethics.

'These incidents re-establishes the justification of promulgation of enactment of Journalists Protection Act as demanded by NUJ(I)’s.' The statement added.
