Senior journalist, National Executive member of National union of Journalist (India) Mr. Anand Rana has been appointed as member of the Press Council of India (PCI) .The appointment process which was completed on 24th February ,2020   by PCI Chairman and former Supreme Court Judge Chandramouli Kumar Prasad was formally notified by the  Ministry of Information and Broadcasting yesterday. He has been warmly greeted from different quartet for the new appointment.

 

Mr Rana, a strong pillar 

 

of  NUJ(I)   is in the profession since last two decades having an impressive track record.  He is associated with Haribhumi,a  leading Hindi daily having head quarter at Delhi. Liked for his  sharf voice for the cause of journalists Mr Rana  was the  General Secretary of Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) for some times.

 

On his  appointment to such a prestigious post  National Union of Journalists (India) and it's affiliated state units have congratulated Mr Rana .President NUJ(I) Ras Bihari, Secretary General Prasanna Mohanty, Indian Journalists Union President Srinivas Reddy, General Secretary Balwinder Singh Jammu, Press Association President  Jaishankar  Gupta, General Secretary C K Naik and Working News Cameramen Association President . S N. Sinha, General Secretary Sandeep Sonkar have greeted Mr Rana .  Delhi Journalists Association president Rakesh Thapliyal and General Secretary K P Malik also  thanked all other Union officials for their efforts.
